purpose or registering is to show that most enterprises do *not* think
that software patents are cool.
FFII (Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure) is the primary
body fighting software patents in Europe. Software patents are the
single greatest threat for open source, and for small and medium
enterprises. See http://ffii.org/ for more information.
Registering is a really quick and easy step, and it helps show that the
sw patent directive does not have the public's support.
