Hi, It has been a while since I last reported anything about the Hungarian NL project. We have a very busy and successful year behind us.
I would like to start with the best news: we released the fully localized Hungarian OOo 2.0.1 today. Hungarian became a Sun language this year and Sun contributed the translation of the whole helpcontent (based on the already existing translation of the UI and extended tips). The Hungarian builds were the testbed of the new spellchecker library, hunspell, which soon will be integrated upstream. The development of hunspell and other lingucomponent tools will continue and we are working in a close cooperation with the author (NÉMETH László). The Hungarian community is (and will be) actively testing these new developments. Hungarian OOo 2.0.1 contains a newer version of hunspell and a patched version of altlinuxhyph hyphenator - both will be submitted for integration soon. According to download statistics Hungarian OOo 1.1.x build were downloaded 4-5000 times per month. Hungarian OOo 2.0 builds were even more popular. In November we registered 15000 downloads (90% Windows, 10% Linux). I think OOo 2.0.1 with the Hungarian help with be even more successful. Last but not least, the hu.openoffice.org site was redesigned. There is even more content and a more user friendly interface.
