Ivan and Others at webdev have been working hard to make the site more
accesible for many people including making it more accesible,
multilingual or at least easiert to find the right language.
Here I include some of the mesage from Ivan reporting on the possibility
on having a full tableless template:
"
This is very similar to the underlying layout of the Wiki, only
applied to the OOo website. In the HTML, the content comes first,
followed by the left hand navigation, the subheader, and, finally, the
header - a near reversal of the current layout. This proposed layout
is also more simple in terms of the code needed to construct it when
compared with the current OOo website. It works with all major
browsers - including IE6. The footer will still always appear at the
bottom of the page even if the page contents is shorter than the
browser's height.
The main problem in transitioning will be the custom stylesheets that
projects have written to override the default CSS. This is why opt-in
based phasing in seems like a good idea to me; it would allow us to
work through any issues when the project leads are ready to invest
some time to this.
"
This mean that there is a possiblity that things might break so I will
advice each group to consider this transition and say whenever they will
be ok making the necessary changes to their CSS.
