I've been wondering about this myself. I am largely unaware of the existing work done or any licence transition issues, but I getting the CND branch to build without requiring extra steps seems like a good place to start. I managed to build it locally with a bit of trial and error, so it seems as though it is still workable.
I use the CND daily, so I would like to see it out of limbo sooner rather than later. Maybe some planning in JIRA needs to be done?
