Hey Ömer,

Everything that Tomáš said is correct.. So let me provide a little bit of
step by step to help you along the way.

1 - pick something that you want to accomplish.
For example, I started on cleaning up the "warning" messages that are
emitted during the build process. Turns out I like it. 8-)
So that's what I've been focusing on. In addition, I've been working on the
CND integration. So pick a feature, idea, or something
that you want to accomplish.

2 - get an account on Jira for creating bug report/s.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Dashboard.jspa

3 - create your bug report in Jira

4 - implement your change/feature

5 - test it as much as possible

6 - create you commit message using the proper format. You will need your
bug report ID for this

7 - create a pull request

8 - wait for it to get reviewed
Remember the majority of us are volunteers. So you're issue might take a
little bit of time before it gets integrated. Here is a piece of advice
that I find helps everyone (* ALL open source projects including this one
*) to make this process go smoother and quicker. Think about what a
reviewer is looking for and make it easy for them.

I've recently received comitter privileges, haven't used them yet, so you
will be rewarded for your efforts. I find cleaning up the warning messages
to be very rewarding for me and it helps the overall code quality of
Netbeans.

Hope this helps.
