Not ported, really. Just a lot of Java editor specifically parts of NetBeans are now also available in VS Code. And the developers doing that are also creating and enhancing related features in NetBeans. E.g., Oracle cares about Micronaut, so Oracle developers have integrated Micronaut support into VS Code and while doing so have done the same for NetBeans. I think that's great.
