someone here could assign the issues to you if you want. Feel free to
ping me on github (@mbien) via an issue comment and i assign it.
I believe the ability to assign issues comes with the committer role.
Apache projects are managed a bit differently compared to regular github
projects, I am not sure if its possible to unlock features on a case by
case basis.
