Hi Ernie,
i think Eric told me that 120 had some platform related maven build
issues, thats why there was 120-1 with a hotfix. For that reason
NetBeans 14 won't list 120 as option anymore in the module wizard (see
#4007).
120-u1 is the only update release of "12.0 LTS" thats also why it never
really ended up being a true LTS release.
-> avoid RELEASE120, use one of the other two variants :)
It might be even simpler to pick the 130 release as your baseline, since
that is the first release under the new versioning scheme which might be
less confusing for users.
best regards,
michael

Just use RELEASE12. The updates have no API/SPI change.

I'm putting together a module that I want to be compatible with NB-12+.
I saw a popup with RELEASE12, RELEASE12-u, RELEASE12-u1. And I just
perused an email that referenced RELEASE-u2.
Is it true, that for most compatibility, I should just use RELEASE12
in the pom.xml? I don't expect this new module to actually run on
12.0, but who knows. I want to say it is compatible with 12.0 and
beyond.
