List,

I have an itch to write a project type for NetBeans for work I do fairly regularly with GitLab CI/CD components.

I found the NetBeans Project Type Module Tutorial,
https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorial/main/tutorials/nbm-projecttype/ and was immediately stumped. A few of things:

1. Last review 2022.
2. Assuming I can use an existing NetBeans 24 installation to write this module, the screenshots do not align with the current options in the IDE
   a. Do I need the "platform" IDE?
   b. Do I need a plugin?
   c. In either case, can this be called out in the tutorial?
   d. Should the screenshots be updated?
3. What did generate in NB24, sort of reading between the lines, was a project with a number of "problems."
   a. Can the tutorial point what the path to the
"netbeans.installation" property should be on macOS, Windows,
      and Linux?

I'd open an MR, but I don't have the answers to this questions. Should I get them, I'm happy to update the tutorial for review!

Thanks!
Tim
