Questions re: NetBeans Project Type Module Tutorial

I found the NetBeans Project Type Module Tutorial,

I have an itch to write a project type for NetBeans for work I do fairly regularly with GitLab CI/CD components. https://netbeans.apache.org/tutorial/main/tutorials/nbm-projecttype/ and was immediately stumped. A few of things:

1. Last review 2022.

   a. Do I need the "platform" IDE?
   b. Do I need a plugin?
   c. In either case, can this be called out in the tutorial?
   d. Should the screenshots be updated?

   a. Can the tutorial point what the path to the
      "netbeans.installation" property should be on macOS, Windows,
      and Linux?

2. Assuming I can use an existing NetBeans 24 installation to write this module, the screenshots do not align with the current options in the IDE 3. What did generate in NB24, sort of reading between the lines, was a project with a number of "problems." I'd open an MR, but I don't have the answers to this questions. Should I get them, I'm happy to update the tutorial for review!
