Has anyone requested a PPA repository be set-up for NetBeans?! Java has one... In this way, complex installs on the client (user) side would be as simple as two SUDO commands entered one time only (per Linux workstation):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apacheprojects/netbeans sudo apt update OR: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apacheprojects/netbeans-dev sudo apt update AND sudo add-apt-repository ppa:apacheprojects/netbeans-stable sudo apt update After that, whenever Ubuntu 17.04 or 17.10 are updated (I do this every day) so is the latest build (work) for NetBeans 9. This reduces the work for your users by an order of magnitude (or more)... Great to be here... Walls. Wallace Jackson, MindTaffy
