If you are serious about creating new art-work for NetBeans then you can
have a look at NETBEANS-146  (
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-146).

A complete proposal needs to include various splash images, about box
images, frame icons, etc. It is all listed in the JIRA ticket. Click the
links the see the current images.

For the moment the most important part to change is the splash image as it
contains incorrect text about NetBeans being CDDL licensed. (the text is in
the image itself)

Knock yourself out with proposals.  :-)

(PS: I guess we may temporarily create a new splash image just to get rid
of that text about CDDL. This will then have to do until the community has
settled on a new logo for NetBeans)
