Dear Martin, I would like to respectfully disagree with two of your statements.
microsoft does not play by the rules. Also, they have never been stopped due to their previous anti competitive behavior. It is unlikely they would lose any legal case in any of the legal systems when they shut down GitHub. That's my take on it. I am feeling rather cynical.
