I think this indicates that false is returned if more than 1 node is
selected:

        if (activatedNodes == null || activatedNodes.length != 1) {
            return false;
        }

I suppose you could remove 'activatedNodes.length != 1' since then the
false will not be applicable when more than one node is selected.
