Hi Chad,

I know Matthew Burgess is actively working on bringing back MiNiFi Java
into NiFi and providing a way of running NiFi in a "headless mode" which
would be the same as running MiNiFi Java. A large part of this effort has
been merged recently [1]. He might be able to provide more details about
the next steps and how you could help.
