Things on top of my head that are still being worked on: - improvements, stability and performance of the Python API for writing components in Python - the rewrite of the NiFi UI using the latest version of some libraries but it has no impact on NiFi adoption, you can use the current UI (same as in 1.x) - the addition of the rules engine feature in the UI, but it has also no impact on adoption as this is really something very specific
