Hande Celikkanat created NUTCH-3235:
---------------------------------------
Summary: SeleniumProtocolIT fails: Firefox session cannot be
started
Key: NUTCH-3235
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NUTCH-3235
Project: Nutch
Issue Type: Bug
Components: plugin, protocol
Affects Versions: 1.23
Reporter: Hande Celikkanat
With the fix from NUTCH-3233, the Testcontainers protocol integration tests
run, and all three tests in SeleniumProtocolIT fail. The fetches return HTTP
status -1:
{noformat}
Test: testFetch200() took 885 milli sec(s) FAILED: Expected HTTP 200 for
http://localhost:32786/ ==> expected: <200> but was: <-1>
Test: testFetch404() took 280 milli sec(s) FAILED: Expected HTTP 404 for
http://localhost:32786/nonexistent-path-xyz ==> expected: <404> but was: <-1>
Test: testFetchReturnsContent() took 262 milli sec(s) FAILED: protocol-selenium
must return non-null content for a live nginx page ==> expected: not <null>
{noformat}
The test log shows that the Firefox session cannot be created:
{noformat}
ERROR o.a.n.p.s.HttpWebClient [main]
org.openqa.selenium.SessionNotCreatedException: Could not start a new session.
Response code 400. Message: binary is not a Firefox executable
Command: [null, newSession \{capabilities=[Capabilities {acceptInsecureCerts:
true, browserName: firefox, moz:debuggerAddress: true, moz:firefoxOptions:
{binary: /root/geckodriver}}]}]
{noformat}
The test does not set selenium.driver or selenium.grid.binary. Firefox 156.0.1
is installed as the Ubuntu snap package (/usr/bin/firefox) on the machine
running the test.
To reproduce, with the change from NUTCH-3233 applied and Docker running:
{noformat}
ant runtime resolve-test compile-core-test
ant -lib ivy/ivy-2.6.0.jar -f src/plugin/protocol-selenium/build.xml
test-protocol-integration
