There is no issue in reporting complaints here. :)
The changes to Make.defs do also improve performance, however we need
to do some hacks to get rid of the error messages.

PR 1152 fixes those cosmetic error complaints. It is finally complete
and reviewed (more review is always good). Hopefully, it will be merged
to master once it completes its PR checks.
The PR got a major revision this morning. We had it mostly working last
night but that approach required to many band-aids and needed a sweeping
rethink. If you are interested you should look again.
