Hi Sascha,

If I understand this well this patch is for the trunk and should be rather 
attached to OFBIZ-3746.

For the variant screen, try to open WG-9943 in the trunk demo and you will see 
that it takes all the screen and you get stuck then. For the product WG-9944 I 
will have to investigate more, right!
For you, to better understand the problem, I have attached a screenshot at 
OFBIZ-3846.
