Hi Christian, 

meanwhile I take a deeper look and have seen the {{EdmMapping}} with the 
{{getMimeType}} method.
Perhaps it is a option to add the enhancement in the {{EdmMapping}} as 
{{getSource}}?

The {{EdmMapping.getMimeType}} was already used for {{Json}} (in the 
{{JsonEntryEntityProducer}}) and is used for {{Json/XML}} for the 
{{EdmProperty}} values.
