Robert Kanter updated OOZIE-1817:
---------------------------------
Attachment: timers.jpg
meters.jpg
json.txt
histograms.jpg
gauges.jpg
counters.jpg
Thanks for looking; I know it's a large patch.
I've attacked some screenshots:
!counters.jpg!
!gauges.jpg!
!histograms.jpg!
!meters.jpg!
!timers.jpg!
The "meters" are currently only being used for some metrics on how frequently
Log4J is logging (Codahale Metrics does this for us), but I'm not sure how
useful that really is. I've been thinking of getting rid of that. Do you
agree?
and also the JSON:
!json.txt!

> Oozie timers are not biased, that is, the statistical metrics they expose are
> over the run-time of the Oozie server instead of a window of time. This makes
> them not very useful especially after the server has been running for a while
> (codehale has very efficient and easy to use biased histograms that can be
> used instead).
