I've just left a bunch of specific feedback on ReviewBoard, but here's some
overall comments:

There's still a number of TODOs and FIXMEs in the code. Before merging into
trunk, we should at least have followup JIRAs (marked as blockers?) for the
5.0.0 release so we don't forget about these; alternatively, we can fix them in
this patch.

This patch is doing a few different things:
- dropping Hadoop 1
- OYA
- cleaning up code, fixing findbugs, etc
While these are all good, I wonder if it would be better to do these as
separate patches/JIRAs (in fact, we already have OOZIE-2761 for dropping Hadoop
1). It will make the individual patches smaller, be easier to review, and keep
things a bit cleaner to follow. We can also be a bit more aggressive in
individual JIRAs; for instance, it would be great for a cleanup JIRA to include
running "optimize imports" in the IDE on every file to finally clean up our
ugly imports everywhere. If everyone else would prefer to do this as one JIRA,
I don't have a strong preference here and that's fine too.

I'm going to be on vacation for about the next 3 weeks:
- I would love to play around with this in a cluster, but I don't have a lot of
time right now so I only did a code inspection and didn't try it out
- I hope there will be other reviews during this time and that we'll make a lot
of progress
