Peter Cseh edited comment on OOZIE-2973 at 11/29/17 3:00 PM:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Attaching patch.
The patch compiles with Hadoop 3, but there are a ton of test failures because
Hive 1.2.0 does not support Hadoop 3. We would have to bump Hive up to 2.3.0
for Hadoop 3 support.
There is no Pig release with Hadoop 3 support: PIG-5253
I'd suggest either to push out this jira from 5b1 so we have more time to bump
other component versions or to incorporate these changes with a note that many
actions are not working.
Any thoughts?

> This JIRA is to track that Oozie works with Hadoop 3.
> - Build Oozie with latest hadoop 3 (e.g. assuming Apache Hadoop 3.0.0-alpha3
> pass {{-D-Dhadoop.version=3.0.0-alpha3}} to maven) and execute tests
> - It would be nice to create an Apache jenkins job that runs Oozie tests with
> hadoop 3 (also with other component)
