Hi, 1) what does mean a complete replacement for JBoss AS7? TomEE is a JEE server implementation, the main target is web profile but it proposes a lot of other features (JMX, JAXRS, JAXWS...). If you think of the full profile i'm not sure we will make it certified but if you encounter any issue create an issue on apache jira or mail us and ther eis no reason we can't fix it
2) to be honest we didnt test ear support a lot (in particular with so big apps) so i think the best way to know is to try 2.1) no problem 2.2) which kind of caching? we manage JPA2 one, session one is configurable 2.3) should be fine but you have to put hibernate in your libs since we can't deliver it with tomee (licence issue) 2.4) for stateless we have clustering, load balancing is easily doable with apache httpd 2.5) we manage rar so i think it should be fine i don"t think tomee and jboss have the same behavior about ear support (regarding cdi) but will be fixed since CDI will fix it in next version normally - Romain 2012/5/23 Nick <[email protected]> > 1) Do TomEE have any plan to become a complete replacement for JBoss AS 7 ? > > 2) My EAR projects having more than ten WAR and 100s of jars which all work > together as an ERP project , can i get the following capability from > TomEE.? > > 2.1) Multiple Data source / Transaction Support (JTA/JPA/Hibernate) > 2.2) Caching > 2.3) Struts2, Spring, Hibernate framework support or (CDI/EJB3.1 now we > are not using) > 2.4) Clustering and Load Balancing. > 2.5) Jackrabbit rar deployment > 2.6) And many more, it doesn't really matter how is my EAR now.
