The scheduled Databases workflow (OPENJPA-3011) and the {{test-*-docker}}
profiles in {{pom.xml}} test against PostgreSQL 11 (end of life since November
2023), MySQL 8.0 (end of life since April 2026) and MariaDB 11.8.
Test each database against its oldest supported and its newest LTS release
instead (discussed on dev@):
* PostgreSQL 15 and 18 (14 reaches end of life in November 2026)
* MySQL 8.4 and 9.7
* MariaDB 10.11 and 12.3
Innovation releases (MySQL 26.x, MariaDB 13.x) are left out, they are short
lived. The {{test-*-docker}} profiles default to the newest of each.
