Thanks for the suggestions. I added a 4.2 migration note referencing OPENJPA-849 and a regression test that passes `emf.getProperties()` to `Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory` and checks that the configured `openjpa.DataCacheTimeout` is retained. `TestPropertiesMethods` now passes all 18 tests; Checkstyle was skipped due to the checkout's previously observed line-ending errors.
