I have now added a comment to GSOC: Need to implement HTML5
whiteboard<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENMEETINGS-551> and
I look forward to developments!

As a software developer myself I may be able to contribute of course but I
am not that familiar with the technologies involved.
