The errors I got were trying to install the Maven Extra from the Sonatype website (they're not in the marketplace). The reason I got errors is because, as of 1.0, Maven now provides their "extras" through their own mini-marketplace accessed via Preferences → Maven → Discovery. Once I found that little dialog, installing the 1.0 version of the extra worked fine. It looks like I still need the Subclipse SCM handlers plugin.
