The latest versions of the Eclipse maven plugin seem to complain every time
it see a maven plugin that it doesn't have explicit knowledge of. So when
you check out the core code in the latest maven plugin, it will give you
warnings, and it will show you as having build errors on your pom.xml file
until you tell it to ignore this.

Same goes for the module after you import it. The solution for me was to
open the pom.xml file in Eclipse, and in the Overview tab of m2e's fancy pom
editor, in the top-right, there was a red error message with the same error
message Rowan mentions: "Plugin execution not covered by lifecycle
configuration:
org.openmrs.maven.plugins:maven-openmrs-plugin:1.0.1:initialize-module
(execution:
default-initialize-module, phase: initialize)". I clicked on that and I
chose the option to "Permanently mark goal ... as ignored in Eclipse build".
This fixes the problem (in that eclipse stops showing a red X build error on
pom.xml, and running the build in the normal way is not affected.
