I don't see what the value is in trying to overlay the pdf. The growth curves are actually generated by polynomials or line segments, I forget which, with 5 parameters per curve (a curve being a particular percentile of a particular chart). The coefficients are freely available from CDC or WHO on their websites, they're not difficult to implement (I've done it).
