I don't know anything about Pootle, but maybe we should give this a try. The next step if we want to continue with this would be to make standard "release notes" areas in the for the web sites -- English and native lang. Juergen actually suggested something like this over a year ago but we never got to it. Then we can figure out how to get the translations where they need to go -- some scripting magic, no doubt.
