Aix runs on quite different cpu architectures and platforms, including S/390, from very big to medium platforms. You cannot just a any AOO binary and run it on AIX, it need to be compiled to aix and the target platform. For the risc line that is a piece of cake using the BSD port, but for bigger platforms, AOO needs to be configured quite differently. I have no experience in porting AOO, but have ported a number of other sw to aix, and it was not an easy job, especially not when moving towards mainframes. rgds jan I. > Marcus > > > > ------------------------------**------------------------------**--------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: > dev-unsubscribe@openoffice.**apache.org<dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org> > For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org > >
