Well let us start with the beginning, I do not think we have any mentors,
at least no one signed up, and I am not sure new mentors can be added so
late in the process.

I would not hope that 5.0 is a "small" project. Again we should start
small, right now we seem unable to get started on 4.1.2 Before we start
daydreaming about 5.0 we need to
- find a release manager for 4.1.2
- Determine which fixes goes into 4.1.2
- Make the release
- Get it tested
- and finally get it voted on.


Not much a student can help with here (GSocC is mainly programming).
