I can not find anything in the makefile that is affected by the version
change.
I found now some reports on "cannot dump Type", maybe this helps?

I can post them later. It is something with offapi and autodoc...
I use 5.4 and can build AOO.

Latest version of GNU make is 4.3 [1]

Cygwin has updated GNU make to 4.3 some time ago.
Now I get errors when building AOO on Windows. Downgrading to make 4.2
fixes the problem.
According to the changelog [1] there are some backward
incompatibilities
in make 4.3.
Anything we can do here?
