the original poster of bug 128453 correctly noted that the bug was not
solved _for him_: https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128453#c9

In his case, AOO is showing a warning when he tries to open a WPL
file, that is a Windows Media Player playlist:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Media_Player_Playlist

Shall we just add it to the list of safe extensions, to solve the
problem?

IMHO we have to be very careful where we draw the line.
Who shoud decide what is on the list and what not?
That's why Arrigo asked here, I think.

When we allow WPL, what about ASX, M3U and other music playlist files?
IMHO they should also be allowed. AOO only passes them to the
player/CODEC of the OS.

would be OK.

And do we want to create always a new release to add something new in
the internal whitelist? ;-)

No, at the moment we want to create a new release based on the feedback
of our users... ;-)

Yes sure, and with a new issue comes a new request and therefore a new release. ;-)
