Folks,
There is a fair bit of EU regulation (Digital Networking Act, Public
Procurement Directive) as well as strategy work going on in Brussels that
strongly reads upon the future room to manoeuvre for the open office community;
and especially for companies or public-sector parties in your downstream
community.
And one area that is not well highlighted is the importance of interoperable
file formats - and the fact that there (still) is something like a `file' that
can be extracted from a closed (SaaS/Cloud) system.
Should you, or your company, want to provide import - or do this more jointly
as the ASF open office community - do feel free to ask for help. Alternatively
- there is also the more general path to stress the importance of that what
makes open office possible:
