Hi Dave,

It seems we do not have an agreement after all.

Hi all,

since we receive interest if we will bring a Silicon version we should bring a
block post.
Are we discussing 5.0.0 only?
Here i would like to discuss the blog post, what our startegy is. Because we get asked. Let us use the

Windows x86 and Windows x64 (see below) to get to an agreement
       what we release.

I suggest to publish our way forward. And same strategy as with Windows.

win7 as a smaller language set, Win10 full release.
Why would we publish a win7 5.0.0 at all?

see https://lists.apache.org/thread/qqmosfrxzj37sqp6rfggbmykvbodjmk9

The request is to support a wide range of our users. let us continue the discussion on the OS Versions there.

Mac intel smaller language set, Mac silicon full release.
Same regarding Mac intel. Why would we bother with it for 5.0.0?

We have an active user request for this. see: https://lists.apache.org/thread/vygn3hzgstw2v6c96csoblytmvyrd289

I think this is a strong incentive to do this.

what do you think?
Let’s have as few OS versions as we can!

There are multiple volunteers who disagree.

All the best

Peter
