Hello,
I wonder if there is dependency between python macro and JRE. Do we need JRE to run python macro?
No, you don't need a JRE to run any python functions, see
http://udk.openoffice.org/python/python-bridge.html for more information on python in OpenOffice.org
Hello,
Thanks for the information. I could confirm that there was no problem in running python macro without JRE. However, if you run 'tools->macro->organize macros' menu without JRE, you will get 'Enable JRE' dialog several times. You can test it simply by turning off 'use JRE' option. It measn that there is unnecessary dependency to JRE in UI side of python macro. I will file the issue for this.
