Many text editors are now UTF-8 capable. Well, at least under Linux (sorry Frank ;-) - no troll intended here). For example the venerable old "vi" can work in UTF-8 mode. If you are facing problems to find an UTF-8 text editor under Windows, try the excellent "convert" package by François Pinaud, which can convert from almost any encoding on Earth to almost any other text encoding. I think a Windows version exists. This way, you can use the text editor of your choice in latin-1 and afterwards convert to UTF-8. -- Marre des virus, vers, spywares, adwares et plantages ?
