I'm well up for this :-) as you know the concept of moving static tags
in CVS is acutely painful for us. [ Particularly now we want to have a
single source archive that has CVS repo. data and also .svn repo data -
(for which it's critically important that it's in-sync ;-) ].
So - it seems to me the fix is simple: we're not running out of
milestone numbers anytime soon ;-) '181' <<< 2^31, so surely just
getting a very, very quick new milestone out with the fix is the right
approach ?
Anyhow - it seems you're thinking on these lines anyway; so - just
cheering you on :-)
