Hi
again 2 things are mixed
- organize technically repositories, available ressources - develop the
tools to access them (extensions update, non code extensiosn
deployement, extensions website)
- make money with this free contributed (or not) stuff
- last but not least: should we differentiate between templates,
extensions, free templates, free extensions and commercial content, etc..
imho, they all are Extensions and should be at least available as that
format - It is 'only' a matter of packaging and registering
(but can be availabale through other format of course and other
projects/site)
Regarding the MarketOOoPalace, an OOo Extension website is not
uncompatible with commercial aspects, technically it starts with a
matter of Category or keyword or Repository name (whatever you name it)
Be carefull though to end users confusion and extensions authors
For myself, i'll stop here on this point as i already expressed my
opinion on bizdev list. It is a Marketing aspect i do not want to go
deeper. My only concern is to bring end users valuable Extensions (free
or propriatary if user is being informed) and not the one that provides
the more money to OOo (propriatary or free) regardless the quality
