I think it's completely unrelated. The problem is that the thumbnails
for Master Pages as *contained in templates* get re-created. I've just
created an extension with 42 templates with some bitmaps as background
and it just works painfully slow to build the thumbnails.
It has nothing to do with loosing master pages, as thumbnails are
already saved in the template file (and I can see huge disk activity
with the template files being open, thumbnails created etc.)
