I'll restate the question, & annoyance. OpenOffice Writer, etc. maintains a list of "Recent Documents", and I want TO CLEAN & CLEAR this list on a regular basis. I am a "newbie" at the software, and do want to state that it is pretty straightforward & easy to figure out MOST OF THE TIME! However, when I've been Googling for message boards with this question, I've found COUNTLESS other people with the exact same issue! And I've found no straightforward answer in such message boards on how to CLEAR THE RECENT DOCUMENT LIST!!! Everyone wants to know how, but nobody does......... What I want to add, and I want to learn a little bit of programming so I can maybe even do it myself, is the following; In the "Recent Document" list, IT SHOULD CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE FILE STILL EXISTS --- BEFORE LISTING IT!!!! This is something that IS CURRENTLY ***NOT*** DONE!!! I've had files DELETED MONTHS AGO still listed in the Recent Documents!!! WTF?!? I want an option RIGHT AT THE TOP of the "Recent Documents" list to "Delete the Recent Document List", that will get rid of the list easy as pie.
