Hi,
someone wants to write a detailed JOSM user guide on the Wiki
(yippieh!). He wants to embed all the different icons in his
descriptions. This means I'd either have to upload them all to the
Wiki (can do it with a script) or, if we could enable external image
embedding in our Wiki, I could tell him to simply link to SVN.
I would prefer the latter, as it would not require me to create 100+
mini images in the Wiki and would also be easier for maintenance (if
the image changes in SVN, it changes in the Wiki). This would require
setting MediaWiki's config option
$wgAllowExternalImages = true;
The downside of this would be that anywhere that currently has an
image URL simply mentioned in the article would then display the
image inline.
What would you recommend?
