That sounds lika potlatch problem. The node is created and deleted in the same changelist. Why is potlatch uploading it at all? The way was last changed also in the mentioned changelist to include the node in question. Potlatch should remove the node from the way before uploading. Someone mentioned it should prevent the deletion of nodes still in use.
