Perhaps you will decide that the tracks are not worth contributing. If not: - there is a josm plugin that allows you to edit gpx tracks to remove your selected areas before uploading the track. - gpsbabel offers options to remove trackpoints within radius, boundingbox and arbitrary shape(I think) Your donor could do this and edit OSM as well. He'll have context from his direct experience that nobody else might be able to extract from his track files. Importing data is cool.
