+1 for the desire to (batch) send msgs to all mappers near you. I'd also love

Thanks to whoever has developed the current functionality and thanks in advance
to that/those who will, perhaps one day, develop this further.
I just installed the rails port successfully but it may as well have
been Chinese, let me see what I can figure out.
Please bear in mind that if you're planning to work on this stuff that
it is a very contentious area that needs careful thought. Also there are
a lot of tickets in trac already around this stuff and making various
suggestions.
