Hi,

We had some "vociferous" comments (thanks Grant!... :) ) and votes in the last 24 hours and here's a tally:

1- Forward: The 0.6 branch is the only place to create incremental updates (trunk will be too unstable) and we'll use forward numbering on the trunk (0.7xxx).
   5 "+1" votes
Notes:
- There's consensus saying that the trunk will actually be stable and we'll do stable milestones that will likely be picked up by early adopters. - There's a debate on the lettering scheme (0.7mx or 0.7devx) with apparently "dev" slightly ahead

2- Backward: The trunk is the place to create incremental updates, we are committed to produce high quality milestones moving forward and we then need to use a backward numbering scheme (0.6xxx)
   1 "+1" (mine initial... :) )

I'll give till tonight 5pm PST to collect more votes and will post a final tally shortly after that.

Cheers,
- Philippe
