Any KDE specific info you provide is very welcome.
OK, will do. I don't expect anything special, but you never know.
BTW, is it just me or does anyone else think that Building Chandler
notes are a bit too terse? I don't think I normally need to have my hand
held all the way just to run make -- it's more that the page feels not
so much like a standard INSTALL file, but reading notes written to
oneself by somebody who already knows Chandler well. The section "some
notes about external and internal" is a good example of what I mean.
More importantly, the "BuildingChandler" page mentions the option of
running "make world" with "DEBUG=1", but there isn't a word about what
that might mean until the next section, "top makefile targets" (even
though it's not a target), where it says "Use DEBUG=1 for debug
versions". But remembering discussion on this list about a month ago, I
had the impression that running the debug version is discouraged,
because it's so slow. This should really be stated clearly, because I
think someone who wants to work on a project would be more likely to
think a debug version is necessary for the development.
Also, "how to run" information is duplicated on "BuildingChandler" and
"RunningChandlerFromSourceReleases" pages. I think only the former is
necessary, since you have to build Chandler in order to run "from
source", no?
