As a follow up on this, I am working on identifying the precise set of common
code (essentially, the encoder/decoder code and tests) from Impala that we can
move into parquet-cpp, so that parquet-cpp can eventually become a 3rd-party
dependency of Impala. Much of the rest of Impala's Parquet read/write code is
too tightly coupled to Impala's internal runtime.
