Hello Adrian,
Please don't hesitate to ask questions on the list when you are unsure.
Thank you for volunteering, I'm sure there will be other opportunities if
you wish to facilitate in the future.

The duties of the facilitator for the Parquet sync are as follows:
 - greet the attendees :)
 - we start the meeting by building the agenda together: the facilitator
calls the attendees 1 by 1 to do a brief intro: their name, who they work
for if they wish or is relevant, what they want to discuss or hear about.
It is perfectly fine to be just a fly on the wall and listen. If there are
a lot of people, it is important to go fast,
 - once we compiled together the topics to form the agenda, we then
prioritized and go over them one by one. Usually, smaller topics go first.
The facilitator makes sure to manage the time so that we save some time for
all topics.
 - we use a shared google doc to collaboratively take note. The facilitator
takes the lead but feel free to assign a note taker if you wish. Other
people are encouraged to edit the notes concurrently to add links to
relevant PRs and issues and add any relevant information not captured.
- make sure to keep track of action items. Usually people will take action
items to follow up on the mailing list, open an issue, review a PR, etc.
- send the notes to the mailing list. You can check out the archive for
examples.

The sync meeting is a way to accelerate the async nature of open source
work. It comes in addition to the discussions on the mailing list or on
github. You are always welcome to send questions or topics to discuss on
the mailing list as well. The sync meeting is usually useful to facilitate
getting to a conclusion faster.
The next meeting is on Wednesday April 16th at 10am PT, we're looking
forward to seeing you there.
